Old Sports Cars
According to Porsche, more than 70 per cent of the vehicles it has issued are still in line. The Porsche Classic firm has been set up specifically for repair and maintenance, and during rebuilding, specialists often deviate from the historical truth and bring modern technologies into old machines: zinc body, colouring acryl emals, empty brake pads, new chromium techniques... Everything to keep veterans in good health as long as possible. Now there are tyres on the list of " new " entries. Together with Pirelli, the porch develops a series of tyres that are no different from the original (soft size and even tread pattern) outside, but they have almost the same structure and rubber mix as modern tyres.
Special marking with letter N indicates that tyres have Porsche tolerance
The " new old " classic Porsche covers belong to the families of Pirelli CN36, Cinturato P7, P Zero Rosso and P Zero Trofeo R. In total for Porsche 356, 911 and Boxster, issued from 1959 to 2005, there are 32 new tyres with a landing diameter of 15 to 18 inches.
There are similar models for front-models 924, 928, 944 and 968. With new tyres, classic Porsche should be safer, not only.
However, the list recommended for the old Porsche still retains the tyres Continental, Michelin and Bridgestone, with a total of 161 summer rubber and 131 winters. In general, there are 2,200 versions suitable for all Porsche models. These covers, including new ones from Pirelli, can be ordered at any Porsche service center.
